So surely a Diesel Audi saloon may not seem the initial choice for a replacement car? Manda however had her sights set on getting a common-rail diesel engined car, and with her local VW Dealers turning her away from a test drive for a MK6 GTD, she ended up at Audi instead, and after a short test drive, it resulted in the purchase of 'MJ' as the car has now come to be affectionately known - somewhat of a step up in class from her 1.8t Golf.

"The Chrome Offended My Eyes'"
Starting off by de-chroming the entire car with Gloss black wrap & tinting the windows (done by Monster Wraps of Southampton) the car slowly began to take shape. Following this, an RS4 Honeycomb grille was added and a purple front lip was added for a personal touch on the face of the car. The look of the car is generally very restrained and classy, in keeping with the original Audi styling.

A new set of shoes was next on the list - choosing a set of staggered Klutch KM20s; Manda was able to run a set of staggered wheels without issue as the A4 is FWD only. It was driven daily like this for a a while until the poor ride quality began to take a toll on Mandas spine.. and her sanity! About to purchase some proper KW coilovers, when a company breaking their B8 show car contacted her the same day, offering their air setup for the same price... naturally she took them up on their offer and purchased it on the spot.

Being FWD only has its advantages, as it meant Manda could run a set of staggered Klutch KM20s, which have now been replaced by a set of 10j Rotiform SNAs in Champagne gold, achieving perfect tuck on all four corners whilst looking classy against the deep black of the bodywork.

With a remap running in the region of 230bhp, it has been complemented with a DPF delete, EGR delete Straight pipe from the cat back, and the plans do not end here. With a trip to diesel tuner extraordinaire Bobby Singh on the cards in the near future for some more tuning for MJ.

With a quad-exit exhaust conversion into an S4 rear diffuser, this made the back end appear much more refined, sticking with the subdued styling, which coupled with tinted lights and plates gives a stealthy, blacked out appearance to the rear end - which is where most cars on the road end up looking at the most, this saloon is certainly no slouch!

"A brake upgrade is on the books"
Future plans for the car include a Big Brake upgrade to provide some additional stopping power, complementing the uprated power and engine modifications, along with an B8.5 RS4 front end conversion. Keep an eye out for this during the 2017 season, hopefully sporting it's new look!
